Why we started Shopin?

We are Arjav & Meet, two college friends from IIT Roorkee who have always felt a disconnect from traditional online fashion shopping. The uncertainty around fit, quality combined with the hassle of returns and exchanges, made it a frustrating and unreliable experience.

On the flip side, offline shopping felt like a chore—finding time amidst busy schedules, battling through traffic to reach the mall, and waiting in long trial room queues made it far from enjoyable.

After speaking with countless shoppers, one thing became clear:

The fit, feel, and look of apparel are the ultimate deal-clinchers in buying decision.

Yet, no marketplace truly addresses these pain points. Instead, they focus on price wars and often showcase outdated collections that don’t excite shoppers.

We realised it was time to reinvent the shopping experience—to make it convenient, hassle-free, and predictable without sacrificing what truly matters: fit, feel, and look.

This vision led us to create Shopin: At Home Try before you Buy fashion commerce platform.
